Transom Traveling Workshop
In March 2026, I graduated from the Transom Traveling Workshop, an intensive training in narrative audio storytelling. Along with eight other radio professionals from across the country, I spent a week in Moab, Utah learning from lead instructor David Weinberg. I produced an 8-minute story titled “Uranium Queen” which aired on KZMU Moab and the Transom podcast.
Pollen Initiative
The Pollen Initiative is a nonprofit dedicated to cultivating media centers inside prisons across the country. As a volunteer editor and fact-checker, I provide feedback to incarcerated journalists at San Quentin Rehabilitative Center and Central California Women’s Facility. I also coach students in the Journalism Guild, a 16-week training course offered at both prisons.
