Experience

KRCL 90.9 FM

I currently produce and co-host RadioACTive, a weekday politics and community affairs program that focuses on grassroots activism. My audio stories address water policy, artificial intelligence, LGBTQ issues and labor movements. I also manage sound engineering and video production for live music on the show.

SLUG Magazine

I led an independent arts and culture publication with roots in the ’90s Utah punk scene, managing the production of a monthly print issue and daily online publishing. As Managing Editor, I oversaw a team of freelancers, approved and edited stories, developed SEO/social media strategy and guided the magazine’s creative direction.

The Daily Californian

As an Arts and Entertainment Reporter, I covered film, music , theatre and visual arts in the Bay Area through reviews and interviews, eventually becoming newspaper’s first LGBTQ media beat reporter. I also wrote a weekly personal column titled “Audience of One” about the intersection between art and performance.
